The GDP has provided a submission to the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants concerning his thematic study on immigration detention of children. The Submission encourages the Special Rapporteur to be cautious about employing the terms “alternatives” or “alternatives to detention” and notes the importance of developing humane child reception measures.
