In a sworn declaration submitted to the U.S District Court for the District of Columbia on 11 September 2025, a Gambian women who was part of a group of 14 detainees in the US deported to Ghana as part of Trump's third country removal programme, states: "I was held in the room at the airport for five days with no access to phones, no showers, and no change of clothes."
