Dar Naim Detention Centre is located in northwest Nouakchott, close to Nouakchott Central Prison (however to-date, the GDP has been unable to ascertain the centre's precise co-ordinates). According to reports that we have received, living conditions in the facility are "inhumane"–including poor quality and insufficient supply of food.
"Living conditions are inhumane. At the Dar Naim center, a meal is provided, but it is of very poor quality. In other centers, no meals or water are offered. Hygiene, meanwhile, is virtually nonexistent." [...]
