Details/Description Another refugee said he witnessed officers beat a child asylum seeker 300 times with rattan at the Belantik detention center because the boy asked when UNHCR would visit: “He was beaten until his feet were red and he couldn’t walk. He had to use his hands to move. Even going to the toilet was difficult for him.”
