The unit is comprised of two cells used solely for immigration detention that are located inside an "Arrest Center" in Bayanzurkh district that is otherwise used for holding people for misdemeanour offences. The two cells (one for men and one for women) have six beds each. There is a separate communal area from which there is a door leading to a small outside courtyard for the use of immigration detainees only, which backs on to a prison, Closed Correctional Unit 409. The two cells are under the Immigration Authority.
