"Human rights activist Roza Dunayeva said that migrants, mostly from the republics of Dagestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia, are 'subject to pressure, intimidation and blackmail' at the Yezhevo Reception Center for Foreigners, RFE/RL's Russian Service reported. Dunayeva said they are 'forced to cooperate with security services under threat of extradition to Russia.' She said deportation orders have already been issued for several detainees, even though they face torture and death in Russia. She said her appeals to the Croatian Human Rights Ombudsman and human rights organizations have gone unanswered. In response to an inquiry from RFE/RL's Balkan Service, the Yezhevo administration denied both Dunayeva's accusations and the use of the word 'detainees' for those held there, calling them 'wards'."
