ABOUT

The Geispolsheim detention center, created in 1991 on a military site in the forest near Strasbourg, gradually expanded its capacity to 36 places before closing for major works between 2015 and 2018. It reopened in 2018 with 34 places for men only, and since 2022 judicial hearings have been held by videoconference from a dedicated room in the administrative building.
