NEWS & TESTIMONY

2023

"The respondent, a 24-year-old man from Morocco, was part of a group with other two men from Morocco. The group was arrested in Polykastro police station and subsequently transferred to Idomeni police station where they were detained for 26 days prior to being moved to the Transfers Department of Thessaloniki (Metagogon) where they were detained for a total of 2 months and 15 days before being released. Upon apprehension, the group was handcuffed and immediately transferred to Idomeni police station. The respondent described the conditions in Idomeni police station as very dirty.
